Apply Advanced First Aid (HLTFA402C)
This course builds on the Apply First Aid course by incorporating advanced first aid techniques, more advanced monitoring techniques, and the use of oxygen resuscitation, use of a defibrillator, and the administration of pain relief and other basic medications.
Apply Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (HLTFA404B)
This course is designed to provide necessary knowledge and skills to use oxygen in resuscitation, to provide supplemental oxygen for a breathing casualty and to operate oxygen equipment & AED as part of first aid.
A nationally accredited course designed to provide knowledge and skills to the first aider in order to apply and perform emergency resuscitation and first aid procedures within the first few minutes after a life-threatening incident. The first aider will be able to coordinate an emergency situation as well as perform first aid for common injuries and illnesses.
Apply First Aid – Update (HLTFA301C)
For those that have completed Apply First Aid in the past and need to update their qualifications. A nationally accredited course designed to provide knowledge and skills to the first aider in order to apply and perform emergency resuscitation and first aid procedures within the first few minutes after a life-threatening incident. The first aider will be able to coordinate an emergency situation as well as perform first aid for common injuries and illnesses.
Emergency Asthma Management (21886VIC)
A nationally accredited course developed by Asthma Victoria to promote skills in emergency asthma management for people in workplaces including schools, community groups and other organisations.
First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22099VIC/21287VIC)
A nationally recognised course designed to establish the essential skills and underpinning knowledge necessary to assist a person suffering a severe allergic reaction and/or anaphylaxis. Provides an understanding of the administration of adrenalin using a controlled dose injecting device (e.g. EpiPen ®) until the arrival of medical assistance.
Infant CPR Workshop (InfCPR)
A course designed to provide knowledge and skills to new parents to perform the essential life saving techniques of Paediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Jnr Alive Preschool Workshop (JAPreS)
A course designed to teach preschool school aged children about the basic principles of first aid and how to respond and react in an emergency situation.
